Sabeel Foster was crowned the new junior king of badminton when the curtain came down on the Dacosta Mannings National Junior Championships at the Barbados Community College on Saturday.  

New champions will emerge when the island’s best junior badminton players do battle from 10 a.m. today in the finals of the 2013 Dacosta Mannings National Junior Badminton Championships at the Barbados Community College..  

Sabeel Foster provided the first upset of the 2013 DaCosta Mannings National Junior Badminton Championships last weekend when he defeated Cory Fanus in the second semi-final of the Under-19 boys’ singles competition at the Barbados Community College.  

The Barbados Olympic Association (BOA) sat down with two members of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) last Friday, to discuss the development of the sport across the region.  

The Barbados Badminton Association (BBA) received a significant boost over the weekend when they accepted a donation of computer equipment from Dacosta Mannings Retail.  

Shae Martin and Amanda Haywood have already signalled their intentions to take the top honours in the 2013 Barbados Badminton Association’s Junior Nationals which got going on Saturday at the Barbados Community College.  

Reigning National Champion Andre Padmore Continued his fine form in 2013 by taking top honours in both the Singles and Doubles Divisions of the inaugural A&A Auto Parts & Shuttlers Badminton Club's "Dominance Badminton Tournament.  

A tension-filled night saw the Pioneers Badminton Club retain their David King Memorial Inter-Club Badminton Title with a showing of grit and determination, defeating the Shuttlers “A” team 3-2 at the Wildey Gymnasium on Thursday night.
