The Barbados Badminton Association (BBA) received a significant boost over the weekend when they accepted a donation of computer equipment from Dacosta Mannings Retail.

The equipment consisted of two Acer Aspire 4739z laptops and one HP Deskjet 2515 printer. The donation will be used to assist in running tournament software during competitions as well as secretarial and public relations duties.

During the presentation Grace Chambers, Marketing Manager of Dacosta Mannings Retail indicated it was a pleasure to aid the association in the execution of their upcoming programmes. She added that, “Dacosta Mannings Retail is a supporter of sports and various activities around Barbados and this is our way of giving back to help them achieve the goals and objectives of the association.”

Kevin Wood, President of the BBA thanked Dacosta Mannings on behalf of his members and indicated that the equipment would be put to good use as it was a critical component in the running of tournaments. He added that the donation was also a timely one, as the junior badminton players would be taking centre stage soon for the 2013 Barbados Badminton Association National Junior Badminton Championships.
